Tyler Simmons

Tyler Simmons is a cultivation science communicator and Technical Advisor based in Northern California. His work focuses on controlled environment agriculture, crop steering, and plant performance optimization, with a background in kinesiology, biology, and nutrition.

He has created Front Row Ag's technical education programs, contributed to Garden Culture Magazine and the AROYA advisory board, and co-founded Northern Emeralds, where he served as COO and Cultivation Director. As CEO of TS Systems LLC, he provides remote operations management and facility design for commercial cultivation. He also leads Based Health LLC, a consultancy focused on longevity and performance. Tyler is known for applying human performance principles to plant cultivation, bringing a systematic experimentation and optimization approach developed through years of commercial cannabis operations. When not working, he enjoys backpacking in remote wilderness areas, jiu-jitsu, and reading.
